Hi, I'm Annalise

I create practical, inclusive maths resources for Australian teachers that save time, reduce stress, and help every student succeed.

You’re in the right place
if teaching sometimes feels overwhelming

I know how heavy the load can feel when you’re trying to support students with diverse needs in a mainstream classroom. That’s why The Educator’s Burrow exists. To give you curriculum-aligned maths resources and strategies that actually work. With over a decade of classroom and special education experience, I understand the challenges you’re facing, and I’m here to help you feel confident and supported.

From a childhood dream to a teacher helping teachers

For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to be a teacher. As a kid, I’d spend hours playing “schools”, taking the roll, writing timetables, even making pretend parent phone calls at lunchtime. I dreamed of becoming my own version of Miss Honey from Matilda: kind, patient, and helping every child feel capable.

That dream turned into more than a decade in classrooms across Queensland, teaching both mainstream and special education. Along the way, I saw just how tough it can be to meet the needs of diverse learners, especially when time and resources are stretched thin. I know the feeling of working late into the night, modifying lessons for students who are years behind, and still wondering if I was doing enough.

It’s those experiences (the hard days as much as the good ones) that led me to create The Educator’s Burrow. A place where teachers can find practical, inclusive maths resources that actually work, without spending hours reinventing the wheel. My goal is simple: to help you feel confident and supported, and to make sure every student has the chance to thrive.

“Education is not the filling of a pail,

but the lighting of a fire.”

I support mainstream teachers with inclusive, curriculum-aligned maths resources that save time, reduce stress, and build confidence, so you can focus on teaching, not just surviving.

This PowerPoint made teaching multiplying and dividing fractions so much easier! The step-by-step examples and practice questions helped my students understand tricky concepts, including mixed numbers and creating reciprocals. The no-prep slides and lesson plan saved me time while keeping students engaged.
